Wedding photography and videography in Singapore: how to compare quotes

How to compare wedding photography and videography quotes in Singapore: what drives the price, terms to get in writing, and seven ways to spend less.

By the RS Media crew · Last updated 4 October 2026

In short

Wedding photography and videography quotes in Singapore are hard to compare because packages differ in hours, crew and what you receive at the end. Compare like with like, get the terms in writing, and spend only on the coverage your schedule needs.

  • Hours, crew, video, same-day editing and delivery speed drive most of the price.
  • Compare total quotes for the same hours, crew and deliverables, not headline starting prices.
  • Ask about overtime, travel, albums, deposits and cancellation before you pay anything.

How photo and video fit into the rest of the budget

For civil marriages, the marriage application fee is SGD 42 if either of you is a Singapore Citizen or PR, and SGD 380 otherwise. The Registry of Marriages charges no additional fee to solemnise there, although changing your solemnisation details after applying incurs a fee (marriage.gov.sg).

If you are holding a banquet, it is likely to be a much larger line. SingaporeBrides' 2027/2028 banquet price list shows, for example, SGD 1,088 to SGD 1,688 per table at Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant at DoubleTree by Hilton, and SGD 2,734 to SGD 3,093 per table at Andaz Singapore (SingaporeBrides). For illustration, 20 tables at an all-in price of SGD 1,500 each would cost SGD 30,000.

Set a budget you can fund without relying on wedding gifts, then decide how much of it goes to photo and video. Our guide to splitting a wedding budget across categories walks through that step.

What drives the price

Hours. Packages are commonly sold in blocks of hours. Build your coverage schedule around the ceremonies and reception you have planned, including travel and the gaps between events, and count the hours you need covered. A wedding day timeline makes this easier.

Crew. Discuss whether events happening at the same time, such as preparations in two family homes on the same morning, need additional coverage. Ask who exactly will be shooting on the day.

Photos only, or photos and video. Confirm what the video deliverable is: a short highlight film, a longer record of the speeches and march-in, or both, and how long each will be.

Same-day edit. This is a short film screened at your reception that evening. Confirm how it is produced, whether it needs additional crew, and what it adds to the price.

Delivery. Confirm when you will receive the first photos and the full gallery, and whether faster delivery costs extra.

What published starting prices look like

Starting prices on studio websites cover different amounts of time and different deliverables. Examples we found on studio websites on 4 October 2026:

  • One-hour ROM photography advertised from SGD 288 nett, as an early-booking rate for the first few couples on each date.
  • Four-hour wedding-day photography from SGD 1,120, and four-hour videography from SGD 1,280, with a same-day edit at SGD 600 extra.

These are selected advertised offers, not a market-wide price range. Confirm availability and the total price for your date.

Our own packages, hours and add-ons are listed on our pricing page. Whichever studio you look at, the headline price is only the start. Compare total quotes for the same hours, crew and deliverables. A four-hour package can end up costing more than a longer one once you add the hours you need.

Get these terms in writing

Before you book, ask for written terms covering:

  • overtime, including the hourly rate, whether it is charged per crew member, and how part-hours are rounded
  • travel expenses, including for any overseas pre-wedding shoot
  • albums and prints, if they are not included
  • the deposit, the balance-payment date and the cancellation policy
  • what happens if the photographer is unwell on the day

Seven ways to spend less

  1. Book the hours your schedule needs, not the biggest package. If there is a long gap between your morning ceremonies and the evening reception, ask whether a split day is possible and what it costs.
  2. Add crew only where your schedule needs it. Discuss the morning plan with your photographer before adding a second shooter.
  3. Decide whether you need a same-day edit. If you do not plan to screen a film at the reception, compare a post-wedding highlight film with a package that includes a same-day edit.
  4. Consider solemnisation-only coverage for a small wedding. A couple of hours around the solemnisation and family photos may be enough. See what shapes ROM photography packages.
  5. Compare one studio against separate suppliers on total price. Whichever you choose, agree on who covers what and where each person will stand at key moments.
  6. Ask about overtime before you sign. Banquets can run late, and overtime is easier to plan for than to argue about afterwards.
  7. Ask what you will receive. Confirm the number of edited photos, the editing scope, and whether unedited files are included.

Five questions to ask before paying a deposit

  1. Who exactly will be shooting on my day, and can I see a full wedding gallery of theirs, not just highlights?
  2. How many hours are included, and when do they start and stop?
  3. What is the overtime rate, and how is it rounded?
  4. When will I receive the first photos and the full gallery?
  5. What is the plan if the photographer cannot attend on the day?

There are more in our list of questions to ask before paying a deposit.

Price alone does not show whether a package fits your schedule and the deliverables you want. Match the coverage to your own schedule, compare like with like, and get the terms in writing. When you are ready, tell us your date and venue or see our published prices.

Questions couples ask

About this topic.

What affects the cost of wedding photography in Singapore?

Mainly the number of hours covered, how many photographers and videographers are on the crew, whether video or a same-day edit is included, and how quickly you receive the photos.

How do I compare quotes from different studios?

Compare total quotes for the same hours, crew and deliverables rather than headline starting prices, and get the terms for overtime, travel, albums, deposits and cancellation in writing.

Is a same-day edit worth it?

It is worth considering if you plan to screen a film at your reception that evening. If not, a highlight film delivered after the wedding may suit you better, so compare both options.

Does the Registry of Marriages charge a fee to solemnise?

For civil marriages, the marriage application fee is SGD 42 if either of you is a Singapore Citizen or PR, and SGD 380 otherwise. There is no additional fee to solemnise at the Registry of Marriages, although changing your solemnisation details after applying incurs a fee.
