The wedding overview lists the Sands Grand Ballroom for up to 8,000 reception guests or 6,000 banquet guests, while the detailed ballroom page lists up to 3,980 banquet guests for the Level 5 Sands Ballroom; confirm the exact room configuration and capacity with the events team.
On Level 3, the page names six main ballrooms — Jasmine, Hibiscus, Heliconia, Cassia, Begonia and Angsana — and lists banquet capacities ranging from 50 to 540 guests depending on configuration. On Level 4, the page lists four main ballrooms, including Roselle-Simpor, with banquet capacities ranging from 50 to 1,600 guests depending on configuration. Solemnisation here: the legal side
For a civil marriage, a solemnisation here would be an offsite ceremony requiring the venue’s agreement, a licensed solemniser and completion of ROM’s application, declaration and marriage-licence requirements; offsite ceremonies may take place on weekends and public holidays. Confirm the venue, date and time with Marina Bay Sands before you invite a solemniser, since ROM advises booking a solemniser three to six months ahead, as they may not commit any earlier. Submit your marriage application no earlier than six months and at least 21 days before your solemnisation date, and arrange two witnesses above 21. If you would rather marry at one of ROM’s own sites and hold your reception at Marina Bay Sands afterwards, ROM’s current onsite locations are a temporary site at The Esplanade Mall, while its original Canning Rise building is redeveloped, and the Ficus Room at Gardens by the Bay, which holds up to 40 people including the couple and witnesses.
