Roots.gov.sg’s account of the Meridien chain of hotels in Singapore describes an economic recession in the 1980s that left Richland Development in financial difficulty, after which the Orchard Road and Changi properties were placed under receivership by the French bank Societe Generale. Ong Beng Seng’s Hotel Properties Limited then bought over the Orchard Road hotel in 1988, and, according to Roots.gov.sg, the hotel was relaunched as the Concorde Hotel in 2008.

The hotel’s 2026 wedding promotion page, however, separately states a figure of up to 450 guests for the same 552-square-metre ballroom, without naming a layout. These two guest-capacity figures for the ballroom, 440 and 450, do not match, so confirm the figure and layout that applies to your booking.
The same capacity chart also names other function rooms, among them Concorde I, Concorde II, Concorde III, Studio I to Studio IV, and four Gallery rooms including Gallery IV. Studio IV and Gallery I–IV each list 20 for theatre seating. Concorde III itself is listed at a banquet capacity of 100.
