What official wedding packages say they include for décor
Décor inclusions differ from venue to venue, and even between packages at the same venue. Our guide to weddings at Rendezvous Hotel Singapore, sourced from the hotel's current Timeless Rendezvous 2026/27 wedding package brochure (fetched 29 September 2026), records that the package lists floral arrangements and a model cake for the cake-cutting ceremony among its inclusions, and states the document's rates are valid for weddings held by 31 December 2027. The same brochure separately lists the use of up to 30 chairs for a solemnisation, available as one of several optional perks rather than a standard inclusion. Our guide to weddings at Concorde Hotel Singapore, sourced from a hotel document (fetched 28 September 2026) headed for weddings in 2027 and 2028, records that the document sets out a lunch-and-dinner package for 5 to 12 tables specifically in Concorde 3, and that this package includes a decorative wedding cake and faux-flower aisle stands among its floral decorations, alongside one night's accommodation in the Bridal Suite. This scope is specific to that package and room; it is not stated as applying hotel-wide. Our guide to weddings at Carlton Hotel Singapore, sourced from the hotel's own wedding FAQ page (fetched 28 September 2026), records that its wedding package includes a choice of three décor themes, plus two tables with four chairs for the reception and one table with an ivory tablecloth for a photo display; the same FAQ states that decoration beyond the package's standard décor theme is not included and must be arranged by the couple. Our guide to weddings at Changi Cove, sourced from the hotel's current wedding e-brochure (fetched 28 September 2026), records that the hotel describes its wedding packages as already including décor and vendor services, while also stating that couples may bring in their own external décor providers with advance notice to the venue team. These four examples show how differently a package can describe décor: named floral and cake items, a choice of décor themes with couple-arranged extras, or décor bundled with vendor coordination. Ask any venue you are considering for its current package document, in writing, and ask it to point out exactly which décor items are included and which would need to be arranged separately.
External décor vendors and florists: what to check
Our guide to weddings at Amara Singapore, sourced from the hotel's own weddings FAQ (fetched 29 September 2026), records that external wedding vendors may be engaged subject to the hotel's approval and applicable terms, and that the same FAQ states external decorators and florists may also be engaged, subject to approval and to venue, fire-safety, installation and dismantling requirements; it adds that couples should discuss preferred vendors with the venue's wedding team in advance. This approval and fire-safety condition is specific to Amara Singapore's own FAQ wording; read the full wording in our guide to weddings at Amara Singapore.
Our guide to weddings at Changi Cove, sourced from the hotel's current wedding e-brochure (fetched 28 September 2026), records a different approach: the brochure states that couples are welcome to bring in their own external décor providers and non-food-and-beverage vendors, and asks that the venue team be told in advance so that arrangements can be coordinated. Whichever venue you are considering, ask it directly whether an external florist or decorator needs its approval, whether a notice period applies, and whether any fire-safety, installation or dismantling conditions apply to items such as backdrops, hanging installations, aisle décor or freestanding structures. Ask this before you confirm a decorator, and ask whether fixing anything to a wall, ceiling or historic feature is restricted.
LED walls, screens and other fixed features some ballrooms list
A number of ballrooms list a built-in LED wall or screen as one of their features. Our guide to weddings at JW Marriott South Beach, sourced from the hotel's own events page (fetched 28 September 2026), records a 15-metre by 10-metre LED wall and a Forest of Lights installation in the Grand Ballroom, and suggests asking the events team whether it can also be used as a photo backdrop as well as for the reception programme. Our guide to weddings at Orchard Hotel Singapore, sourced from the hotel's wedding page and its separate meetings and events page (both fetched 28 September 2026), records that the wedding page lists an optional LED wall screen measuring 7.9 metres by 3.8 metres as a feature of an unnamed ballroom facility, while the meetings and events page separately describes the Orchard Grand Ballroom as refreshed with floor-to-ceiling LED walls. The guide notes that the wedding page's unnamed facility is not confirmed to be the Orchard Grand Ballroom named on the other page, so the two LED descriptions may refer to different installations. Our guide to weddings at Amara Singapore, sourced from the hotel's venue page (fetched 29 September 2026), records that the Grand Ballroom's LED wall is given as 7.6 metres on the venue page, while the hotel's 2026/27 package floor plans state 8.96 by 2.4 metres for the same feature; the guide flags that these published measurements differ and recommends confirming the installed screen dimensions with the hotel rather than assuming either figure. The same guide notes that Amara's 2026/27 brochures print no precise validity or booking-deadline date, so ask the Wedding team which dates each package covers. If a booked room includes an LED wall, ask the venue for the dimensions that apply to your specific room and booking, since the same room name can carry different figures on different pages. Ask, too, whether it can also be used as a photo backdrop for your portraits, and whether its brightness or content can be adjusted for your photography and videography team.
Set-up, tear-down and access: questions worth asking
Raise the following directly with the venue rather than assuming a standard window applies:
- Ask what time your florist, decorator or other décor vendor may begin accessing the room, and by when everything must be cleared afterwards.
- Ask whether fixing anything to a wall, ceiling, pillar or historic feature is restricted, and what fire-safety conditions apply to any installation.
- Ask whether a rehearsal or a walkthrough with your décor and photography teams is possible before the day.
- For any outdoor portion of your day, ask whether an indoor alternative is available and what conditions apply.
- Ask whether the venue's own décor package can be combined with items an outside vendor brings in, or whether one replaces the other.
How décor choices can affect your photographs and film
The following are questions to raise with your venue and your photography and videography team, not facts about any specific room, since the answer will depend on the venue and the space you book.
- If a booked room includes an LED wall or screen, ask whether its brightness, colour or refresh rate can be adjusted for photos and film.
- If the room has glass façades, mirrored panels or other reflective surfaces, ask your photography and videography team to walk the room beforehand and flag anything that could reflect guests or equipment into a shot.
- Ask where a backdrop or installation will sit relative to windows or natural light at your ceremony or portrait time, and whether blinds or curtains are adjustable.
- Ask whether tall centrepieces, aisle stands or standing installations could block sightlines for wide or overhead shots, and whether placement can be adjusted.

Bring a written list of questions to the venue rather than assuming a package covers everything you have in mind:
- Which specific décor items are included in your package, and which would need to be arranged separately.
- Whether external florists or decorators need the venue's approval, and what notice period or fire-safety, installation and dismantling conditions apply.
- What time vendors may access the room to set up and style it, and by when everything must be cleared.
- Whether a fixed LED wall, screen or lighting installation is part of the room, its dimensions, and whether it can also be used as a photo backdrop.
- For any outdoor portion of your day, ask whether an indoor alternative is available and what conditions apply.
- Whether a walkthrough or rehearsal with your décor and photography teams is possible before the day itself.
